I work hard every day. I rarely take a day off, and haven't for years. I push myself now, so that I can rest easy later in life. I am living the American Dream!
It feels good to know that I am forging a path to personal victory. Often, I sit back in the evening with a nice glass of lemonade out on my front porch and just contemplate how I'll spend my golden years. I like to sweeten my lemonade with one of those artificial sweeteners; I can't remember the name. I smell the fumes of the automobiles as they pass my rented house, taking them deep into my lungs. Ah, transportation - the scent of progress! I know those people driving by me are happy to be getting home too. They love their families so much that they don't even mind paying the $4 per gallon for gas that they have to. Hey, whatever keeps our country on top, right?
As I said, I stay real busy working - just like a lot of Americans. Sometimes I feel like I'll work myself right to death! That doesn't leave me a lot of time to go to the kitchen a cook a wholesome meal, so I order a lot of pizza or just shoot on down to McDonalds. I don't know why everyone thinks that fast food is so bad for you anyway. I just had a full physical from my doctor 4 months ago when I had a mini stroke and he said that my arteries are not even 30% clogged yet, and I'm already 43. He gave me another medication and said that as long as I take that, I should be able to pump at least a minimal blood flow for quite some time still.
I've been putting aside a pretty little penny as well lately. I know a lot of people say that they can't seem to save any money given the economy and all, but not me. I put back over 33 dollars last week and another 29 this week. At that rate, I'll have saved over 1500 this year alone - well, unless my car breaks down or someone in the family needs medical care or something. By the time I'm 70, I should be able to take it easy for the rest of my life. I mean, as long as I don't expect to be living like a king and eating at Applebee's and the like. That's alright with me though; I'm fine with MickyD's anyway, and I am sure that they will always be right down the street.
Anyway, like I was saying, life is good. I love my country and I love the fact that I have all of the freedoms that come with being an American. I can do anything I want as long as stay within the simplistic confines of our compassionate legal system. I don't have to be afraid of terrorists or anything either and that's a great feeling. I mean, if anyone messes with us, we just send in the troops and take care of it - simple, neat and optimally efficient! It's good to have strong and wise leaders like George Bush at the helm. I wish he could just keep on getting reelected until I pass on. Then, I would always be happy, like I am now.
Well, I better go. If I want to be able to save my 30 dollars this coming week, I am going to need to get an early Sunday morning start! God Bless this country!
M Alan Roberts is a radical thinker. He has a gimlet eye for injustice, much as did Frederich Engels, a century and a half before. Still, Roberts finds a way to write effective SEO copy. This suggests both sides of his brain, his mind, work equally well.
