The truth of reality is once again distorted by the supposed "victory" of the pro-gun issue in Washington, D.C. In actuality, it is simply another periodical decrement in the strength of the people. Yes, the "Supreme" Court voted 5-4 that a ban on handguns is in fact unconstitutional, but 5-4 is just a stone's throw from 4-5.
The government continues to edge away at the rights of the people. I can only imagine that the founding fathers of this once-great country would have done multiple flip-flops upon hearing about the absurd notion that an individual has no right to bear arms. It's in the Constitution, I think.
The United States - the home of the free.
The vote should have been 9-0. There should have been no need to vote at all. There should have never even been a ban. Our corrupt government is out of control - again. It seems that they have edged away at the conglomeration of population for long enough now that their plan for ultimate domination is almost complete. The people are spineless to the point where we simply cower and wait for the police to handle every little issue for us.
There was a time when the government would have known better than to try to manipulate the basic human rights of the people. They would have rightfully feared the people that vote them in and pay for their lives. Now, the government reigns supreme and treats the "citizens" like pesky little gnats that are not even remotely deserving of respect nor dignity.
Let's face the fact, freedom lovers: our freedoms are about to be extinguished completely. The time is far closer than we would like to believe or admit - and that's exactly what the government wants. Either candidate that is elected in the soon-coming presidential election will sway that vote far enough in the opposite direction to overturn the "Supreme" Court's decision. At that point, only the military, cops and other corrupt organizations like Blackwater will have the right to bear arms. Yeah, let's give Blackwater some more rights while ours are taken away!
When you say proudly that you are an "American", you are probably erroneously referring to the memory of America's past. America today is not such a great nation as it once may have been. Who should have the right to tell a woman or a man what to do with their personal lives? I know just a few people from my past who have actually snapped and used a gun in a harmful way. I know a vast amount more who would simply never use a gun for anything more than direct protection for themselves or their families; hunting or target practice just for the fun of it. What about you?
The National Emergencies Act is nothing more than an all-powerful license to completely dismiss the founding principals of the Constitution and impose an effective dictatorship. We "Americans" are so blinded by our greedy, evil government that we cannot even discern what it means to be American anymore. It is supposed to have a lot to do with individuality; freedom of expression; human rights and the very ability to determine our own destinies. The government is supposed to be nothing more than an entity to represent what we desire and demand. The government is supposed to fear us - not us them.
The government continues with their heartless plan to anesthetize every one of us. They will never stop until they imprison, kill or otherwise do away with everyone who doesn't simply roll over the proverbial barrel and await their turn. True Americans would stand. Modern "Americans" fall and blindly follow - like pathetic lost sheep. In time, as the sheep realize what I am saying here is true and develop some of what produces the fight-back hormones, they will grow furiously angry.
They like me, will demand massive change. They will feel as though they would certainly rather die before succumbing any further to the outrageous demands of a totalitarian government. The autocratic government must be stopped before our precious country is decimated into a robotic mass of fear-filled prisoners.
Here are a few other names that believed in the effectiveness of gun control: Hitler, Khadafy, Stalin and Castro. Get the picture, people? Probably not. You're too afraid to acknowledge the truth. Being American must mean more than simply sitting back and believing blindly that your "great" country will take care of everything for you. That's what the Romans believed and they fell after lasting a lot longer than the US. It really means just about the total opposite. I know: I'm just a lowly writer that really knows nothing of true Americanism. Maybe it's time to redefine just what it really means.
So, in the meantime, don't bother to even call me an "American"; I am happy to live with my apparently distorted ideas of what real Americans are. Gotta go now - I'm headin' off huntin' while it's still legal and the animals are still here.
M Alan Roberts is a radical thinker. He has a gimlet eye for injustice, much as did Frederich Engels, a century and a half before. Still, Roberts finds a way to write effective SEO copy. This suggests both sides of his brain, his mind, work equally well.
